Exclusive to The Bradford Exchange – 2018 marks 100 years since the end of The First World War, one of the greatest conflicts in our history. Described as The War To End All Wars, over one million British people gave their lives in service to their country. In honour of their bravery and sacrifice, a new Gold Quarter Sovereign coin is being issued.

Officially endorsed by Lest We Forget Association, this Gold Quarter Sovereign is an enduring way to honour our brave heroes and support those still affected by conflicts both past and present. Established at the end of WWI, the Lest We Forget Association supports the welfare of disabled Armed Forces and Merchant Navy personnel, both active and otherwise, in hospital or at home.

Inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields, one of our country’s leading botanical artists Margaret Stevens has created a stunning poppy design for The Lest We Forget Sovereign. Margaret is the holder of numerous Royal Horticultural Society’s Awards and each petal and filament of her vividly realistic field poppy design has been beautifully crafted in exquisite detail onto this solid gold coin.
